Bookshelf Porn

I have been spending the past few days doing a book overhaul in a bid to fit my modest library into my even more modest bookshelf…with little success. This has led to several hours scoping out a new book shelf in which to cultivate my expanding collection which, in turn has led to numerous hours lost to interior design daydreams whereby I came across this beauty… www.bookshelfporn.com . I urge you to take a look at this site if, like me, you spend eons in dreamy contemplation about the right look for your future home…ha! Be warned though, one look and you will be hooked!

Here are a few of my favourites from the site:

This video was popping up in various news feeds a while ago and as it is book related just thought I would add it to this post. I always marvel to think how long this must have taken-what a beauty though! x

"Governments & fashions come and go but Jane Eyre is for all time." -Jasper Fforde

"Because," he said, "I sometimes have a queer feeling with regard to you — especially when you are near to me, as now: it is as if I had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly and inextricably knotted to a similar string situated in the corresponding quarter of your little frame. And if that boisterous Channel, and two hundred miles or so of land, come broad between us, I am afraid that cord of communion will be snapped; and then I've a nervous notion I should take to bleeding inwardly."  -Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

"Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! - I have as much soul as you, - and full as much heart!" -Charlote Brontë, Jane Eyre

"I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will." -Charlote Brontë, Jane Eyre
